Has the Beautiful Villainous Master Died Today?

Blurb:

The Demon Venerable Bai Qingyu died when the righteous sects ganged up on him. Only after his fall did he realize that he was a character in a book, no more than a disposable villain meant to give the protagonists experience points.

When he awoke again, Bai Qingyu had returned to three hundred years earlier: sickly, aloof, and abstinent, with a group of adorable little dumplings under his tutelage.

Bai Qingyu, realizing he'd become the protagonists' master: ???

As everyone knows, this nameless Immortal Venerable is the protagonists' white moonlight, cinnabar mark, and lifelong regret. He coughs blood with every gust of wind, then pours out his heart and soul raising the protagonist group into elite cultivators, before finally passing away.

Bai Qingyu, realizing he'd been handed another short-lived character arc: Pah! Who wants to be a righteous cannon fodder character giving the protagonists experience points again? I'll corrupt their Dao hearts, ruin their cultivation, and be done with it!

Bai Qingyu makes trouble everywhere, convinced that at least he won't end up as a cannon fodder character giving the protagonists experience points again, right?

But unexpectedly, the protagonists he raised into black-hearted lotuses defy all decency and betray their master, imprisoning him in the deep sea. As they kiss him, they say, "So Master is a sesame rice ball. When the skin breaks, the filling may be black-hearted, but it's still delicious."

Looking at the love on his disciples' faces, Bai Qingyu stares in confusion. Am I, am I, am I once again a cannon fodder character giving them experience points?
