What Do I Do Now That My Girlfriend Has Turned into a Zombie?

1. The apocalypse arrives, zombies sweep across the globe, and humanity faces an enormous threat to its survival. The world becomes a vast hunting ground ruled by the undead.

Xin Tan thinks she's lucky because she's become a zombie. She also thinks she's unlucky because she still has her human memories and reason.

After trying to chat with her zombie brothers and talk rot with her zombie sisters, she sadly realizes that her kind are all stupid and clumsy. Her intelligence makes her the odd one out.

Since she can't change that, she can only join them.

Every day after that is shrouded in gloom. She's no longer Xin Tan. She's a zombie, one of the walking dead. Until one day, Qi Can arrives, and she comes alive.

2. After finally finding his girlfriend, who'd been missing for a long time, Qi Can discovers that Xin Tan barely pays him any attention and refuses to let him feed her.

He's heard that people lose their memories when they become zombies, so Qi Can cleans her up from head to toe, dresses her in the prettiest clothes, and gives her the cleanest water and most delicious food, hoping that one day Xin Tan will remember him.

Not only that, Qi Can chatters to Xin Tan every day about their sweet past, including, but not limited to: "Babe, you were the one who chased after me first. Don't you remember?"

"You brought me warmth in winter and coolness in summer, and made me a different breakfast every day. How could you forget that now?"

"Tan Tan, why don't you take a bite out of me?"

Xin Tan finally can't take it anymore. With a zombie's ferocity, she lunges at him and bites the scarf around Qi Can's neck. In a hoarse voice, she asks, "Who chased whom?"

"So that's all you remember? I really mean nothing to you."

Xin Tan: "..."

3. After they reunite, Xin Tan doesn't want to drag Qi Can down with her. He should go to a safe base, not wander the wilds with her, sleeping rough and going hungry.

She thinks about leaving Qi Can every moment, until one day she really does slip out of his sight.

Xin Tan suddenly panics, but Qi Can is waiting for her up ahead. She stands frozen for a long time, until he runs toward her and holds her tightly, begging, "Tan Tan, don't go."

"Let's stay together, day after day, for the rest of our lives."

I once thought my life would be as fleeting as a night-blooming cereus, blooming for only a moment before disappearing. Then Qi Can came, and he said we would be together forever. Thank you, Qi Can.
