Beautiful First Love

Shutong is a hugely popular male voice actor in China's online voice-acting scene. He joined the circle young and has an enormous following.

He once said something that came to be hailed as the most romantic explanation of being attracted to someone's voice:

“I don't think I'm attracted to voices. It's just that, before I met you, my soul recognized your voice first.”

The cast announcement for the audio drama Beautiful First Love shocked the voice-acting community for two reasons:

First, Shutong, who had only ever voiced characters in serious dramas, was taking on a lead role as the bottom.

Second, the celebrated voice actor Han Jiangxue, who had long since left the industry, was making a comeback as the lead top.

At Han Jiangxue's birthday livestream, people flooded the chat with questions about why he was returning.

Han Jiangxue replied, “My soul recognized someone's voice. I want to date him online.”

Ignoring the chat's explosion, Han Jiangxue added, “Since the one who lives near the water gets the moon first, I want us to become a couple in the drama first.”

● One-on-one, happy ending, Jiang is the top and Shu is the bottom.
