In the seventh year of Changle, Xiao Yu, military governor of Youzhou, ended the separatist rule of the regional military governors that had torn the country apart for years, then led his troops to the capital.
Inside the Hall of Supreme Harmony in the imperial palace, the court was assembled. The slender Princess Royal led the child emperor, who was not yet five, by the hand and appointed Xiao Yu regent.
Rumor had it that ever since the regent entered the palace, he had come and gone from the Princess Royal's chambers every night, without the slightest restraint.
The regent was sinister and ruthless, with countless lives on his hands. The officials feared him, and none dared complain or speak out.
One of his intimates tentatively asked Xiao Yu whether he intended to make a good match with the Princess Royal.
At this, Xiao Yu recalled the glimpse of her lotus-colored skirt and smiled scornfully. "I merely find Her Highness more interesting than the women at the entertainment bureau."
**
When Xiao Yu was young, the emperor grew wary of his father and brothers. Held hostage in the imperial city, he was trapped in a sunless existence, and fell in love with someone he should never have loved.
The more he tried to restrain himself, the deeper he sank, until his love was engraved in his bones.
He was willing to abandon his hatred for her, become her devoted servant, and protect her for the rest of her life.
But later, she turned on him for the sake of power, crushing his heart and nearly taking his life.
Ten years after they parted, the girl who had once huddled in his arms to shelter from the rain had become the Princess Royal and regent of the empire.
Before returning to the capital, Xiao Yu had already made up his mind: he would take away the power she cared about most and imprison her deep within the palace. Since she did not want his sincere love, she could become his slave instead, flattering and fawning on him until the day he grew tired of her and killed her to vent his hatred.
Xiao Yu had his plan all worked out, until one day he learned that she had once risked her life to save him.
Consumed by regret, he rushed to find her, only to learn she had died when her heart condition returned.
He heard that her heart condition had begun years ago, when she learned of his supposed death and was overcome by grief.
Note: Princess Royal x Regent, forced possession, high-drama angst, both are each other's only partners.
Coming-of-age announcement: The novel goes premium this Saturday, the 30th. Thank you for your support.

Geshia
Five years after their breakup, Ji Geshia ran into Fu Shiyi again. Wearing the apron from her shop and carrying two takeaway coffees, she froze at the entrance to his office.
An old classmate sitting on the sofa beside her spotted her, paused, then sneered. "So what happened to your fifty-year-old sugar daddy, the campus belle Ji? He finally let you go out delivering coffee?"
Ji Geshia met Fu Shiyi's cool, indifferent gaze from across the room. She lowered her head first and walked into the office.
"Your latte, and your iced Americano. That'll be 55 yuan."
*
On the eve of his tech company's IPO, Fu Shiyi ordered two hundred cups of coffee from the shop downstairs.
Ji Geshia worked overtime alone until the early hours, carrying coffee up and down the building more than ten times. Standing in the elevator and watching the numbers climb, she suddenly remembered how, five years ago, after she broke up with Fu Shiyi, he had waited outside her dorm for ten days and nights straight, until Shen Yang finally dragged him away, cursing all the while.
The last of the two hundred cups was Fu Shiyi's iced Americano.
Ji Geshia pushed open his office door. Only one floor lamp was on, casting a faint glow in the stillness of the city at night.
Fu Shiyi was leaning against his desk, his tie loosened. The cigarette between his fingers glowed a burning red. Head bowed, he did not look at her.
Ji Geshia walked over and set the coffee on the desk. She took out her phone, opened the calculator, and worked out the bill, waiting for Fu Shiyi to pay.
Fu Shiyi put out his cigarette and turned to look at Ji Geshia. The light from the screen fell across her face, illuminating her smooth skin. Suddenly, he reached out, pulled her toward him by the waist, and held her against him. His expression was unreadable in the darkness.
"Ji Geshia, should we give it another try?"

Theme: Be resilient and independent, and never give up, no matter how many times you are knocked down.
There are only 2 updates in the whole month of February. I can't complain anymore. There are no people complaining in the comment area. It's too late.
Sorry, at least take a leave of absence. If that doesn't work, just solve v. When will Jinjiang get a reader complaint?
Promise me, such a beautiful story won't end in an anticlimax, okay?? Let's finish it with renewed enthusiasm! The longer you delay it, the less you will want to read it, and it will be unfinished and lose a lot of readers! Come on, Dad! Come back soon for updates!
I was speechless, I didn't know what was going on in front of me. . . . Why don't you understand v
I'm really stuck here. This is a scam. It's really amazing.
I don't quite understand why there are so many people scolding you in the comment area... Are you all fine in the third dimension? Or does JJ have a rule that serial authors can only update daily? Anyway, I think it's acceptable as long as it doesn't freeze on purpose. Don't be so angry. Please be considerate. The author is not a donkey of the production team and can't work around the clock 24 hours a day.
I really like the forceful grabbing and forbearance and restraint in the early stage. Later, I felt that the character was a bit broken. The heroine had almost no thoughts of her own except to accompany her younger brother. The ending was too hasty. It was clearly mentioned in Chapter 97 that she has become more lazy recently (probably because of pregnancy), but there was no woo woo at the end.
Shh! It is said that Kav will delete comments for various reasons.
Let's watch it together when it's finished, hey
It's a bit deliberately stretched. The first part is quite interesting, but the story after the male protagonist changes dynasties can be said to be stinky and long. The character of the heroine suddenly looks like a holy mother. She only has her younger brother in her heart. She suddenly doesn't care about the people's livelihood. She is forced to be wise, sometimes she is in love, and sometimes she is controlling her brother. It's quite speechless. The supporting roles are also very stiff, and I feel like the writing is not strong enough to write group scenes.
