With the dam taken care of, the Russians to the north think they're strong enough to seize Qing territory.

Kangxi is worried again. They can't win, and they can't talk them out of it.

Yinreng: "I know how to solve this. Royal Father, I just developed a new weapon. We can test it out on them."

The Russians are driven off in disgrace. Other European nations hear about it and come to probe the Qing's strength under the pretext of doing business.

Kangxi is still worried. He can't understand what they're saying, so how can he negotiate with them?

Yinreng: "I know how to solve this. Royal Father, I speak several foreign languages. I understood him, and he's trying to rip us off."

So Yinreng plays the fool to catch the wise, uses business dealings with the foreigners to swindle them out of a fortune, and even sells Qing products all over the world.

The treasury is full, and Kangxi is overjoyed. "Well done, son!"

The court officials are so shocked their jaws nearly hit the floor. "Your Highness, how do you know how to do everything? We know you're capable, but could you leave the other princes some room to shine?"

All his brothers except the eldest prince: "Crown Prince, you're amazing! Please sign our autographs!"

Yinreng: "Everyone, calm down. Let's talk about reform first."

Kangxi and the ministers: "..."
