Zhou Shimu looked up indifferently, his gaze settling on her trembling eyelashes. “What do you want?”

She didn't understand and thought he was asking her to say a toast. In a trembling voice, she replied, “May everything go smoothly for you.”

She drained her glass. Zhou Shimu said quietly, “Good.”

3. On the day they broke up, Jin Yichen stood in front of her with red eyes and begged, “Shengsheng, forgive me this once.”

Cen Shengsheng freed herself from his grasp and resolutely dragged her suitcase away.

On the desolate night road, with the wind howling and snow swirling, Zhou Shimu blocked her path and invited her into his car.

“Didn't you want everything to go smoothly?”

“Just come to me.”

Later, whenever Jin Yichen was at an event, no one could persuade Zhou Shimu to come.

At one gathering, they heard he was in the private room next door and hurried over together,
