Chu Rong was a little dragon cub living on a planet in the apocalypse. Ever since hatching, he had lived alone in the forest.

Without a big dragon to teach him, life was hard for the little cub. Every day, he left early and came home late, looking for food by himself.

Squirrels had stolen his chestnuts. He had snatched meat from a man-eating flower's mouth, and big dogs had chased him all over the forest. Often, he went hungry one day and ate his fill the next.

All the animals loved to pick on him because he was a dragon all alone.

The only one who showed him any kindness was a human.
