After Being Hopeless at Singing and Dancing, I Exploded in Popularity Due to My Appetite

A Taotie who has just come of age and left the mountains can't fit in with modern society. To put food on the table, she has no choice but to get a job at a factory.

On her first day at the factory, she runs into an old acquaintance.

The day a certain talent show premieres, it sets the trending topics on fire.

First, they've invited Lin Qianman, a former singer turned award-winning actress, to be a judge.

Second, one contestant's first reaction on seeing Lin Qianman is to rush over and take a bite out of the actress's eyebrow.

Fans flock in to see just how talented this contestant is, this girl who clearly doesn't know her place.

Then they discover that this contestant, though stunningly beautiful, sings off-key and dances like she's doing morning exercises.

At every live performance, she stares intently at the actress sitting below the stage.

#Does she want to be famous that badly?#

#Tao Nian, get out of showbiz#

Tao Nian, oblivious to all of this, tries to ignore her growling stomach and thinks to herself, "It's been so long, but Lin Qianman looks even tastier than before. I'm drooling. I want to eat her. QAQ"

Three hours later, the show's livestream begins. The other contestants compete to outshine each other.

Meanwhile, Tao Nian curls up in a corner and focuses on the pastries on the table, eating for two whole hours.

The actress Lin, who never livestreams, sits beside Tao Nian with a kind, indulgent look. "Have you had enough? Should I bring you another five jin of beef?"

#How did I end up shipping them?#

The CP fans go wild, wishing they could haul the marriage bureau over here.

Lin Qianman remains perfectly composed and even orders Tao Nian another bowl of soup. "Let me eat! Once I'm full, I probably won't eat you, right? QAQ"

"The Helpless Junior Finally Stands on Her Own!"

Yang Yumian has a clingy junior who follows her everywhere. She's beautiful, has a sweet voice, and is as sweet and obedient as can be.

It's as if she can't do anything on her own. She follows Yang Yumian around every day and asks her senior for advice whenever anything happens.

Yang Yumian is busy every day, yet still has to make time to chat with her.

She thinks the girl will eventually learn to stand on her own, and then she'll finally be able to breathe. But no: the junior only gets worse, even asking her about basic life skills.

Yang Yumian finally gets fed up and speaks harshly to her.

The junior stops clinging to her. The clueless questions, the messages asking how she's doing, and all the things she used to share are gone.

Yang Yumian finally realizes that the junior who acted like a helpless baby around her is actually someone others can rely on, a capable person who can stand on her own.

Tongtong was pampered from childhood, and going away to university was her first time leaving home. Everything was unfamiliar.

It was then that Tongtong met a senior who spoke with the same hometown accent.

That alone made her feel familiar with the girl, but the senior was also exceptionally capable and could help with everything.

Of course she'd fall for her.

Tongtong thinks her senior must feel something for her too. So even after learning to be independent, she still wants to act cute around her senior and have her dote on her.

Until one day, her senior says coldly, "Could you stop wasting my time?"

Tongtong finally understands how her senior sees her.

(A junior who's a helpless baby at first but becomes incredibly capable later, and a cold, pretentious senior who later chases after her love.)
