After Transmigrating as a Background Character, My Disciple Went Mad

In her previous life, Zhongli Zhou was a legendary sword sect master who did whatever she pleased until she finally managed to get herself killed.

After her death, her fellow disciples scattered, and the gifted young apprentice she had planned to raise properly was left homeless as well.

After much soul-searching, Zhongli Zhou decided to be a better person in her next life.

And so she was reborn in the body of an ordinary passerby in the martial world.

The passerby's identity was a mystery, but fortunately, she had decent aptitude. Zhongli Zhou trained while asking around about her fellow disciples.

It turned out that after her death, her master had retreated to the mountains and remained there for ten years;

her junior brother had betrayed their sect and joined another;

and her little apprentice, after years of wandering, had finally attained enlightenment. The first thing she did was...

dig up Zhongli Zhou's grave.

Zhongli Zhou was stunned.

She went to her own grave, a desolate burial mound. In the distance, she saw her apprentice, now corrupted and dressed in red, sitting before the grave.

A sword had been planted in front of it.

Her apprentice poured wine over Zhongli Zhou's bones and sneered. "If you don't wake up soon, you know what I'll do, right?"

Then she cupped the bones' face and said, "My dear master."

Zhongli Zhou: "..."

Can someone tell her how her sweet, adorable little apprentice turned out like this?!!!
