The Villainous Cannon Fodder Wants to Break Up

Xu Zhicheng's entire life had been dictated by the plot.

He was the cannon-fodder biological young master who framed the shou protagonist, the gong protagonist's wicked, selfish, difficult boyfriend, and the giant obstacle in the way of their love.

After several failed attempts to fight his fate, Xu Zhicheng decided to break up with the gong protagonist.

...But it turned out to be a little difficult.

The first time he tried, he woke up in bed, completely bewildered.

The second time, he was held down and thoroughly put in his place.

The third time, the other guy expertly bit down on his lips.

Bullied until his eyes were swimming with tears, Xu Zhicheng wondered: What the heck? Why can't I break up with him??

Later, Xu Zhicheng simply gave up and said, "In this world, you're the protagonist and I'm cannon fodder. The protagonist and the cannon fodder can never end up together. That's what the book says."

Shi Jingyou seemed amused. He stared at that pretty, harmless-looking face for a long time. His voice was soft and ethereal, yet somehow made Xu Zhicheng shiver.

"Zhicheng, where did you read that pirated book?"

A voice appeared in Shi Jingyou's mind.

It told him that he was the protagonist of this world, and that soon he would be rid of his annoying, difficult boyfriend and reach the peak of life with his true love.

The voice chattered on, promising him, "Don't worry. You'll be rid of Xu Zhicheng, that cannon-fodder troublemaker, very soon."

In a dream, Shi Jingyou politely thanked it. But a few months later, he replied with a sharp knife plunged into his own heart.

Amid a chaotic, piercing ringing in his ears, his face pale, he curled his lips into a smile. Calmly, he traced a smiling face on the mirror with his finger, his expression full of mockery.

Get rid of Xu Zhicheng?

"...Go to hell."
