Wen Mu got together with Meng Tingyan when he was nineteen.

Meng Tingyan was gentle and accommodating with him. He would warm Wen Mu's feet for him in winter, rush to his side when he was in trouble, and leave a night-light on every evening because he knew Wen Mu was afraid of the dark.

Still, Wen Mu thought he was even cuter when he was drunk and would hug him, calling him "Mu Mu" over and over.

A man this wonderful was practically his ideal type. Wen Mu thought he must be hopelessly in love with him.

Wen Mu saw a man who looked a lot like him standing beside Meng Tingyan.

He had to admit, they made a perfect pair.

The man spotted Wen Mu eavesdropping from behind them. He smiled, brazenly mocking, and said to Meng Tingyan, "So, did you enjoy playing with that little stand-in?"

The man was bristling with hostility, but Wen Mu, hidden in the shadows, simply smiled. He made the choice for Meng Tingyan, giving him a happy ending.

He thought marrying Meng Tingyan must be wonderful.

As long as his name was Mu Mu.

Meng Tingyan was preparing to marry Wen Mu and spend the rest of his life with him.

But before that day could come, he found himself facing Wen Mu's cold body, barely breathing.

In that instant, the usually cold and heartless Mr. Meng's eyes reddened, and his hands trembled uncontrollably. He nearly fell to his knees in front of everyone.

Choking back sobs, he repeated one name over and over.
