A Letter from Ten Years Ago

At eighteen, with the college entrance exams approaching, Mu Yue and Yan Chujing took turns writing in the same diary, one week at a time, until the exams were over.

They each wrote a letter to themselves and to each other, to be sent ten years into the future, and promised to read the letters together after ten years.

In the blink of an eye, they were twenty-eight. Mu Yue had achieved only half of her dreams, and Yan Chujing was no longer by her side. She opened the letters and diaries they had written back then.

"Yan Chujing is gentle and a little proud. Sometimes he's a bit full of himself."

"Yan Chujing explained that function problem to me again, and I finally understood it."

"I hope Yan Chujing is happy and safe."

With the past vivid in her mind, Mu Yue decided to take the letters and diaries and keep the ten-year promise she had made in her youth, retracing the path of those younger days.
