Miss Watson of the Holmes Family

This is an adventure full of romance and detective work, starring a Watson and a young Mr. Holmes in the style of the original nineteenth-century stories, set in a Britain shaped by Celtic mythology.

After Ursula Watson transmigrated to the nineteenth century, she once thought fate had brought her there to meet her idol, Sherlock Holmes.

The transmigration god truly did not disappoint her. Just after she came of age and left home, she met a Mr. Holmes. However, he wasn't the Sherlock Holmes she had longed to see, but Sherlock's nephew.

Perhaps it was to uphold the principle that every Holmes must have a Watson. After the fledgling witch Watson met the young detective Holmes, they began a life filled with fantastical adventures.

Under the watchful care of the pair, Mr. Holmes and Dr. Watson, the young detective team delved into London's supernatural underworld in the nineteenth century. In one strange case after another, they encountered beings from legends and made use of their unusual heritage.

Immersed in magic and mysteries, they sought the truth at the crossroads of two worlds.

During their adventures, they punished humans who exploited supernatural powers and dealt with otherworldly creatures trying to take advantage of the chaos. More often, though, they met one shining person, human and otherwise, after another in this chaotic age.

Set after the Empty House case in the original Sherlock Holmes timeline, the story features elves and fairies from British Celtic legends. (The fantastical Britain of English literature, with Merlin and leprechauns.)

It's a story about heirs to Holmes and Watson, whose constitutions are decidedly unscientific, yet who insist on seeing through human nature and seeking scientific explanations amid a host of supernatural incidents.

(The old Holmes won't be paired up with anyone. I don't want to ruin his unique charm as a confirmed bachelor. The elder Holmes and Watson will guide the young, bumbling detective team as mentors. P.S. The dialogue has a touch of the original translations' style.)

The next book will be Mr. Holmes Is Always Forced to Work. It's an adventure story about Mycroft Holmes as a student and a fairy girl who, despite being a land-dweller, inexplicably dreams of becoming a pirate captain.
