Leng Bing of Cold Fragrance Valley had a difficult past. Separated from her family amid upheaval as a child, she ended up in an assassin organization, where she became the apprentice of the female assassin Pan Mei. She also became entangled in a complicated relationship with the organization's mysterious leader.
While carrying out missions, she also experienced human kindness and befriended Zhu Shu, the daughter of a prominent martial arts family, who became a loyal childhood friend she could trust with her life.
