Passionate Rose

Cool, aloof top student x spoiled heiress | Reunited after a breakup

School setting in the early part, urban setting later

At seventeen, Shen Huanwu made a bet with her friends: within three months, she would win over Ming Yin, the school's untouchable beauty and top science student.

She sent flowers and gifts, and deliberately arranged chance encounters. From that day on, Miss Shen became Ming Yin's constant shadow.

Everyone thought Ming Yin would reject Shen Huanwu.

But to everyone's amazement, Shen Huanwu won her over, and showed off their relationship with all the high-profile flair of Miss Shen.

Ming Yin indulged her.

A young love burns bright, and when it collapses, it makes quite a spectacle. Ming Yin found the bet to "pursue" her in Shen Huanwu's homework notebook.

That very night, Ming Yin broke up with Shen Huanwu, ignoring her pitiful tears and pleas.

Ming Yin paid her no mind.

But when she saw Shen Huanwu's eyes go red, her fingers twitched. She couldn't stop herself from doing the one thing she'd always longed to do.

On her twenty-fourth birthday, Ming Yin discovered a scheduled email in her inbox.

In the video, the young woman smiled brightly, speaking in the soft, lilting accent of the south, as gentle as a warm spring breeze.

"Senior, are you doing well?"

Ming Yin looked at the paling sky and said quietly, "Not at all."

Ming Yin ran into Shen Huanwu again through a business collaboration.

It was pouring that day. Shen Huanwu drove her home. Ming Yin was so tired she could barely keep her eyes open, but when she woke, she found the room's decor strangely unfamiliar.

Shen Huanwu leaned against the bed, tugging at her collar, her eyes filled with an unshakable, tender longing.

"Ming Yin, aren't you going to have another taste of me?"
