Alluring Bones

Beauty lies in the bones, not the skin. Feng Yunyu's husband recently bought a painting. The woman in it was alluring, her eyes shimmering like autumn waves and her red lips slightly raised, as if concealing a thousand words. Her husband said she would be good for business. The restaurant was struggling, with hardly any customers. But her husband blindly believed the words of a treacherous man. Feng Yunyu tried to talk him out of it once, but he slapped her so hard she couldn't get out of bed, sneering that a woman knew nothing. One day, Feng Yunyu brought her husband some soup and saw a ghastly white skeleton standing behind him, its eerie hollow eyes fixed on her. Feng Yunyu stayed perfectly calm and spoke to the skeleton, beautiful as jade: "Can you grow some skin?" Everyone in the capital thought Feng Yunyu wouldn't live through the winter. But not only did she survive that cold season, she also outlived her husband. The restaurant, which had been on the verge of closing, grew bigger and more prosperous under her management. And at her side was always a beautiful companion, lovely as jade. Everyone in the capital was utterly shocked!!! - "A Ci," Feng Yunyu said to the skeleton, "from now on, it'll be the two of us traveling together." "That... would be best." A Ci didn't want to keep changing its appearance by growing different skins. Next book: I Collect Junk in Heaven Theme: Please add to your collection!
