The blurb for my upcoming novel, The Chancellor Is So Sweet, is at the end. Come take a look and add it to your reading list!
The Li family of Jiangbei and the women of Jiangnan are renowned for their beauty.
As the only daughter of the governor of Yunzhou, Su Yuanyuan grew up surrounded by luxury. She had also been betrothed early to her childhood sweetheart, a cousin, and had enjoyed a life of endless good fortune and affection.
Who knew that beauty could be both a blessing and a curse?
The empire was toppled overnight. The Marquis of Huai, who commanded an army in the north, brought his forces to the city gates and suddenly declared that he would spare the people of Yunzhou, on one condition: the lives of an entire city's people in exchange for the governor's daughter, Su Yuanyuan, as his wife.
Rumor had it that Marquis Yan Yun was brutal and ruthless, no gentleman at all. Su Yuanyuan was anxious, but her childhood sweetheart of a cousin personally delivered her into Yan Yun's hands.
She thought she was a lamb walking into a tiger's den, with no hope of a happy ending. But in this storm-tossed age, Yan Yun was the one who gave her a world of her own and cherished her like a treasure.
About the orange cat:
Su Yuanyuan found a cat and loved it dearly, raising the skinny little thing into a chubby orange cat.
After marrying Yan Yun, she thought of all the rumors she'd heard and secretly badmouthed him to the fat orange cat.
One day, the fearless fat orange cat leaped into Yan Yun's arms. Su Yuanyuan nervously whispered, "Chu Jiu, come back!"
But the person who had been dozing with his eyes closed leaned toward her, half-asleep, and rubbed his face against her neck, like a cat begging for affection.
Upcoming novel: The Chancellor Is So Sweet
After her seventeenth birthday, Qingning began to smell different scents on other people.
Her father, the emperor, was stern and unsmiling all day long, yet he smelled of sweet-and-sour oranges, full of childlike charm. Her mother, the empress, was gentle and kind, with the sweet fragrance of a peach.
The newly favored Noble Consort Cui, meanwhile, wore layer upon layer of perfume, but beneath it all she gave off the smell of a rotten pear.
Qingning wrinkled her nose, realizing she seemed able to see through the layers people used to conceal their other sides.
That wasn't a problem, until Qingning realized that the aloof chancellor of the court, cold as snow on a heavenly mountain and as distant and proud as an immortal banished from the heavens, carried a faint, delicate sweetness that made her want more and more.
Upcoming contemporary novel: The Rose and the Dragon Knight
A seemingly cool beauty X a seemingly sweet and adorable girl
The story of a musical theater star and a hanfu-loving fairy
Important notes:
1. Yuanyuan's name is pronounced Yuan, with the second tone.
2. This is a fictional setting, a very, very fictional setting.
3. It'll probably be an extremely sweet romance. The last book made me lose all my hair.
4. The author's grasp of political intrigue is pretty poor, so read at your own risk if that's what you're looking for.
5. All logic serves the romance.

Theme: Strive tirelessly for as long as life goes on
I don't understand one thing. When the male protagonist was in cat body, he had already heard the female protagonist say that he didn't want to marry his cousin. Why is he still jealous because of his cousin now?
I don't understand one thing. When the male protagonist was in cat body, he had already heard the female protagonist say that he didn't want to marry his cousin. Why is he still jealous because of his cousin now?
So why do you want to see your cousin? If a person you don't like betrays you, you must ask why? Normally, only when someone you trust and like betrays you would you ask for a reason. I feel that the logic of the heroine's actions is a bit mysterious.
I feel so wronged, my daughter, ah ah ah
Um, I thought it was a novel about both physical and mental purity, but when I saw that the male protagonist liked someone else, it was really alienating. Goodbye.
Hahaha, can you still remember?
Come on! Great book
It's finally updated, it's great
Please straight man Orange, please give your daughter a grand wedding in the future.
"These Twenty-Eight Classics" gave the author a big worm~ Serious?
