I Am Cursed

Aoba Ori considers herself the perfect woman, yet in her past relationships she always ended up being treated like a tool.

As if cursed, every man she dated eventually broke up with her for some variation of:

"I have to save the country."

"I have to save the world."

"I have to do what needs to be done."

and similar excuses, leaving her to prove his resolve and thanking her profusely: "Thank you for helping me find the meaning of life."

Determined to keep up her perfect persona, Aoba Ori can only graciously wish them well :)

Until her favorite boyfriend yet falls victim to the curse. At last, she can't take it anymore.

"I get it now."

"Next time, we'll get married right away, the kind where we sign a contract saying we'll live and die together."

Three months later, she became a widow.
