I'm Just a Little Peach

Chi Xianyu is a young Taoist priest at Qingyin Temple. Gifted with an extraordinary constitution from birth, he has mastered the arts of divination and geomancy and is considered a prodigy by everyone around him.

Yet he is solemn and unsmiling. After exorcising evil spirits, driving out ghosts, or reading the feng shui, he simply waves his sleeves and returns to his room to meditate, expressionless.

Then one day, their own Celestial Master brought home a little girl and told him to call her Senior Sister.

"Senior Sister, you can't chew on the offerings on the altar."

"Senior Sister, you can't use that talisman to make a paper airplane."

"Senior Sister, you've buttoned your clothes wrong again."

Now he stopped meditating and sweeping, following his little Senior Sister around every day and trying all sorts of ways to make her smile.

The other disciples stared in disbelief. Was this really Chi Xianyu, who hardly ever smiled?

Min Taotao had stood in the temple as a peach tree for over a thousand years. Lately, that little Taoist priest liked to meditate beneath her so much that when he got sleepy, he'd lean against her and fall asleep.

Then one day, she became a spirit and turned into a little girl. The old Celestial Master from the temple brought her home.

She'd planned to cultivate properly and gain a few skills to help her get by in her new human body, but a little shadow kept following her around.

"Senior Sister! You can't eat that peach! This tree has been with our temple for over a thousand years. We must never show it disrespect!"

Min Taotao ignored him and took a big bite of the plump peach. "Can't I eat myself?"
