Shamhat was a priestess serving Ishtar, the goddess of love.
She was proud that she could earn money for the goddess with her body.
One day, Gilgamesh, king of Uruk, ordered her to go into the mountains and seduce a wild man.
Shamhat went into the mountains and spent six days and seven nights with the wild man. At last, she tamed him and brought him to meet Gilgamesh.
Shamhat thought she could retire after completing her task. Little did she know that from then on, she would have a clingy puppy following her around.
