What Should I Do About This Annoying Immortal Venerable?

When Yuan Ranyu woke up again, he had become a black cat.

Although he had lost the memories from before he was reborn, he was certain he could never have been a cat in his previous life!

He woke up locked in an iron cage. From the scattered words of the cultivator who had imprisoned him, he gathered that they planned to present him to the current ruler of the Ghost Domain.

Yuan Ranyu: "..." The ruler of the Ghost Domain had a taste for this sort of thing?

Yuan Ranyu had already planned to escape, but changed his mind when he heard that the Ghost Emperor had once been Xuan Ying, the Immortal Venerable of the Immortal Realm.

At last, Yuan Ranyu met the legendary Xuan Ying, who was said to adore cats. But when he looked up, he realized Xuan Ying was staring at him rather strangely.

Yuan Ranyu glanced down at his own sleek, fluffy fur, soft little paw pads, and athletic build. He couldn't figure out what the legendary cat-loving Xuan Ying could possibly dislike about him.

Until one day, he accidentally saw Xuan Ying's true form.

Xuan Ying, transformed into a black rabbit, lifted his head haughtily. "What kind of creature are you, daring to share my fur color?"

* Told from the gong's point of view. Not recommended for readers who are strongly attached to either the shou or the gong.

* The shou (a rabbit yao) has a false pregnancy plot, but there is no childbirth.

* The author is a devoted fan of the two leads as a couple, and ships them while writing.

* The worldbuilding is available in the author's collection and can be read as supplementary material. However, some original details are unusual and may spoil the story.
