The Black-Bellied Senior Brother Won't Let Me Save the Male Lead

Li Qing is a supporting female character in a novel. She must maintain her socially anxious persona and redeem the original novel's handsome, strong, yet tragic male lead.

Li Qing: So I just need to keep quiet and get things done? Got it.

System: ?

The original male lead falls ill, so Li Qing leaves chicken soup outside his room. Before she can leave a note, Ming Wang appears.

Ming Wang was born a heaven-blessed prodigy: arrogant, untamable, and ruthless.

Most importantly, he cultivates the Heartless Dao.

He casually picks up the soup. "Thanks, Junior Sister. I was just getting thirsty."

"Was that soup for you? Put it down already."

Li Qing is screaming internally. She lowers her head and says, "N-no problem."

The original male lead is injured while fighting demons and falls unconscious. Li Qing sneaks over to treat him.

Ming Wang simply flops onto the ground and points at the demon's blood splashed on his clothes. "Junior Sister, I'm hurt too. It really hurts."

"Again? I really want to shut him up."

Li Qing resists the urge to gag him with a bandage, nods, and gently wipes the blood from his face.

"Where... does it hurt?"

Later, the original male lead is poisoned by a love potion on a rainy night, and Li Qing rushes to bring him the antidote.

This time, she finally succeeds in saving her target, only to find that she herself is the antidote.

After a night of passion, Li Qing wakes up in bed and realizes Ming Wang's clothes are draped over her.

Ming Wang lies lazily beside her, running his fingers through her hair as he smiles. "Did you sleep well?"

Li Qing: "?" Oh no. Last night wasn't a dream.

The person she kissed in the heat of the moment was Ming Wang himself.

No one knows that Ming Wang is the cold-blooded Demon Lord who, according to a divine prophecy, will fall into demonic darkness.

On the surface, he is warm and courteous, looking at everyone with compassionate eyes.

In truth, he is born evil, bloodthirsty, and unable to suppress his dark nature. Gifted beyond compare, he is nevertheless destined for destruction, an abandoned child even Heaven cannot save.

A strange voice in his mind, calling itself the "Redemption System," tells him:

He only needs to redeem one person to escape his destined fate.

To ensure the mission goes smoothly, the System thoughtfully lets him hear Li Qing's inner thoughts.

But he never expected that the person he longs for, the one he wants to redeem, would be trying to save someone else.

On the night he loses control, he holds Li Qing in his arms and murmurs, his eyes dark: "Li Qing, save me too."

#Wouldn't it be better for the three of us to just live well together?#

*Outwardly gentle, inwardly scheming and unhinged villain x seemingly socially anxious but actually short-tempered, sweet white moonlight

*The male and female leads are both putting on an act
