Dual POV, from both the gong and shou. Younger gong. Case-solving wish fulfillment. An alternate setting. Since the characters don't work in the relevant fields, not every detail is necessarily realistic. 2. The shou is traumatized from witnessing what happened to his family. When their old case comes up, he gets emotional and cries (not often). This doesn't affect his judgment in normal cases or his relationship with the gong. 3. The gong has an ex, and the shou has an unattainable first love. Neither affects the romance between the leads; both serve to bring them closer. The gong's ex and the shou's first love make up less than 1% of the entire story. Don't force yourself to read if you can't accept this. 4. The early part is mostly plot, and the romance comes later. Purely slice-of-life chapters are marked in the chapter list, so you can skip them if you don't enjoy that kind of thing. 5. I'm not very skilled, but I can't help writing what I love. Lu Changfeng shot him a cold look and spat out four words: "None of your damn business." Jing Le pinned Lu Changfeng against the wall. "No blind dates." Lu Changfeng: "Weren't you not interested in old men like me? My business is none of your concern, especially who I date." Jing Le's eyes were bloodshot, and his face was murderous. "Lu Changfeng!"
