[Gojo's POV]
When Gojo was five, his family hired a tutor for him. Apparently, the tutor was a relative who'd left home years ago, struck out on his own, and opened a handyman-for-hire shop. He now went by the surname Sakata.
He didn't do his actual job. Instead, he gradually brought home a girl in a cheongsam, a pair of glasses perched on someone's head, and a giant dog, claiming he'd found Gojo some siblings and a guard dog.
The house was lively every day, with the occasional anti-foreigner riot, and Gojo turned into a homebody with a serious attachment to his family.
But when he was old enough to enroll at the technical college, Gintoki, who'd long had his eye on the Gojo family's fortune, kicked him out, took over the house, and declared that the family wouldn't welcome a second homebody.
The genuine young master of a wealthy family, kicked out of his home and now attending the technical college, met a close friend who would play an important role in his life. This was the sneaky big chicken Gintoki was always talking about: "If you hurt, I hurt too," "If one of us dies, we die together," "This super big idiot moved on his own," "I'm the one and only," and "What are we to each other? Friends."
But unfortunately, his close friend also defected.
[Geto and Sarutobi's POV]
Sarutobi used to be a ninja hired by an organization, living a dull, tedious life. Then one day, she transmigrated and was taken in by the president of the Star Plasma Vessel Cult. Believing that one job was as good as another, she went back to her old line of work and stayed.
When she received a mission to assassinate the Star Plasma Vessel, she refused the assignment at the last minute because her glasses were broken, and set off in search of the Eyeglass Sage.
After a painful summer, Geto defected.
On the streets of Shinjuku, his close friend caught up with him and questioned him.
Meanwhile, Little Saru was sitting in a KFC in Shinjuku. With her severe nearsightedness, she couldn't tell people from animals, and could just make out two male creatures that might have been human, arguing outside the door.
Little Saru caught a little of their conversation and vaguely concluded that they were a couple having a breakup fight.
After all...
"Explain it to me."
"There is a point to it... if I could become you..."
"Is it because you're... that...? Or is it because you're... that...? If I could become you..."
"I've already decided how I'll... After that, I just have to do my best."
"Your choices all have meaning."
Little Saru didn't care what the truth was. On her first day back at work after leaving KFC and getting her glasses fixed, she discovered that her boss had been replaced by a man named Geto wearing Gojo's robes, who called her a dead monkey.
Dead monkey...
Little Saru's masochistic soul awakened instantly.
Before defecting, Geto had lived a miserable life. After defecting, he was hounded by a stalker. With no close friend by his side, he had nightmares every night.
Reading guide and content warnings:
1. Gojo/Geto, but this is pure love.
2. The POVs will follow the blurb.
3. Gojo was raised by the Yorozuya, and they're very close, like family. Little Gojo truly grew up surrounded by love.
4. The Yorozuya are locals, while Sarutobi (female) is the one who transmigrated. She'll first develop a one-sided crush on Geto, then it will shift to Gintoki.
5. In the ending, both Gojo and Geto defect, not to become curse users, but to escape to another world.
Theme: No matter how painful things get, never give up on the person you love most and who loves you.
