Every year when the college entrance exams roll around, there must be huge numbers of students suffering through them.
But for me, it’s a good thing, because this is also the season when there are lots of hilarious parodies of the exam essay prompts to read...
This year I discovered that Longkong was holding a writing contest... I had so much fun reading the entries that I couldn’t help wanting to write one myself...

National Exam Essay Prompt: “Comments on Small Animals Learning to Swim.” Read the following material and write an essay.
The rabbit was the short-distance running champion at every small-animal sports meet, but it couldn’t swim. One day, a wolf chased the rabbit to the riverbank, where it nearly got caught. To ensure the well-rounded development of small animals, the Animal Management Bureau sent the little rabbit to swimming lessons. Its classmates included a puppy, a turtle, and a squirrel. The puppy and the turtle learned to swim and were happy to have acquired another skill. The rabbit and the squirrel spent a long time trying and still couldn’t learn, which left them discouraged. Their coach, a wild duck, said, “I can swim with just two legs. How can you not swim with four? Ninety percent of success comes from hard work. Keep at it! Quack, quack!”
The critic Frog sighed, “Rabbits are good at running! Why train them only in their weak points instead of developing their strengths?” The thinker Crane said, “There’s more than one skill you need to survive! If the rabbit can’t learn to swim, it can learn to dig. If the squirrel can’t swim, it can learn to climb trees.”
