Wen Xiguang knows that whenever his brother sits down at the gambling table, people grope him until he comes home in disarray, and yet his brother never even notices.

To everyone else, Wen Xingguang is a gentle, family-oriented, honest man. In truth, he's useless and impotent, meekly raising the child his wife had with another man.

When the child is bullied at school, all he can say is, "Just put up with it," "They'll stop when they get bored," and "You have to be strong."

Later, he finds himself targeted by these reckless young men, whose power and money let them do whatever they want. Unable to take any more bullying, he cries and begs his now-successful adopted son for help.

His adopted son crouches down and grips his chin. Looking into his tearful, alluring eyes, he says, "Dad, just put up with it. Once they get bored, you'll be able to rest."

Wen Xingguang: This isn't how it's supposed to go.
