[Western Crossover] Why Are You So Cute?

[Warning]: A beginner's rough draft, with basically no romance :(

Sorry, the romance is bad and the ending is a bit rushed because I don't know how to write it, emmm.

Flora Camilla is the sort of person who acts all sweet and says, "What you did made me a little sad," while inwardly thinking, "What an idiot. She's just a brainless Liz Allan fan..."

That's about it.

She has always treated reading other people's thoughts as a pastime, and can always find the ugly side of human nature from all sorts of unexpected angles.

Then she keeps her distance.

Then she meets her natural enemy:

Peter Parker!

Back when her deskmate was still an ordinary person, he would chatter away in his head every day. After being bitten by a spider, he could spend an entire class thinking about something as pointless as whether Spider-Man should have long hair, all while firmly heading toward a brighter, warmer future.

Laughing out loud in class because of the ridiculous little skit Peter Parker was imagining was absolutely humiliating!

After an accidental move landed her next door to Peter's family, Flora discovered that she was no longer as cold and aloof as she used to be. Little by little, she became the kind of person she had thought was so upright it was foolish, yet utterly out of reach.

Actually, it's pretty entertaining to watch the quiet, timid-looking top student chatter away in his head every day about improving his web shooters, that Queens gang leader, and Tony Stark's newly upgraded armor.

The heroine is a native of this world. No spoilers. She's a bit morally questionable at first, but she'll change later.

Marvel and DC, with some X-Men mixed in.
