Tsukimorisato Kyuichi: Younger brothers are such a pain!
So one night, an "ordinary" college sophomore dreamed of connecting with another world and gained a younger brother who loved running around naked.
But just when he thought that was it, he discovered there was more. He gradually acquired several other identities, each with a different younger brother.
Then he let loose in the dream world and found himself enjoying life as an older brother.
Younger Brother No. 1: Ise, the apron-with-nothing-underneath type
To stop Ise from running around naked at school despite all my warnings, I became the fourth seat of the Elite Ten at Totsuki and repeatedly used Food Wars to rein in his freewheeling naked hobbies.
Younger Brother No. 2: The kindhearted goofball Itadori
To find out why Itadori had stopped going to school, I asked around everywhere, but got nowhere. Then I found the answer in the latest Jump series in the real world.
Younger Brother No. 3: The extreme and sickly Akutagawa
To look after and comfort the volatile Akutagawa, I took every opportunity to secretly teach his inhuman boss a lesson. He finally agreed to treat Akutagawa properly, but why did I see a wanted notice for Akutagawa at the police station while in another identity?
Younger Brother No. 4: The genius Saiki brothers
To settle the dispute between my two genius younger brothers, I used the cooking skills I'd learned at Totsuki to feed them. I even sacrificed myself to set them up so they'd unite. But why are they still arguing, and why have I become the center of their rivalry?
Younger Brother No. 5: The cocky phantom thief Kuroba
To help the arrogant, narcissistic Kuroba better fit the image of the mysterious phantom thief in the manga, I resolutely joined the Public Security Bureau and passed him information without drawing attention. But why did my superior assign me to go undercover?
And so, although their identities exist in the same fictional world, they have no connection to one another, until their paths cross.
This is the story of a Japanese college student in the real world who enters a fictional world every time he dreams and experiences a new life.
Reader's Guide:
1. In the real world, the protagonist is forced to act ordinary, but in the fictional world he lets himself go. He's chaotic neutral and tries all sorts of things.
2. The protagonist has manga in the real world, and time flows at different rates in the real and fictional worlds.
3. Each time the protagonist enters the fictional world in a dream, he takes on a secret identity. People connected to his other identities won't reach out on their own, while people connected to his current identity will automatically rationalize his absence in the past.
4. Each of the protagonist's fictional identities has their own career and friends. Skills and memories are shared, but everything else, including supernatural abilities, cursed energy, and physical objects, is not.
5. In The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., there are two younger brothers. In Bungo Stray Dogs, there's one younger brother and one younger sister. All the younger brothers and sisters are biological siblings within their fictional identities, and their relationships are strictly familial.
6. The timeline combines several series, with lots of original worldbuilding and plenty of plot holes. The characters will stay as close to the originals as possible, so please forgive any out-of-character moments.
7. Pairings undecided.
Theme: Care for every family member and cherish familial bonds.
