(Waaah, I'm sorry! I really have no inspiration. I'll put this aside for now, QwQ.)
From the shou's perspective:
After dying in an accident, Cong Lin transmigrated into a cozy slice-of-life novel with no melodramatic elements. In the book, there was a character he especially liked, named Fan Chuan.
On the one hand, Fan Chuan's life resembled his own, as they had both had tragic childhoods. On the other, Fan Chuan shared his name with his late older brother, Fan Fan.
On the first day after transmigrating into the book, Cong Lin met the character. Seeing someone with the same name and a similar face to his childhood friend, Cong Lin couldn't hold back his tears. He ran over and called, "Brother Fan Fan!"
The person he saw as Brother Fan Fan froze for a moment, then tapped him on the head and smiled. "Kid, didn't your mom tell you not to claim strangers as relatives when you're out and about?"
Later, perhaps because he felt sorry for Cong Lin, Fan Chuan took him home. They spent their days and nights together, sharing three meals a day and living the steady, peaceful life Cong Lin had always dreamed of. But sometimes, Fan Chuan's unconscious gestures made Cong Lin think he really was his Brother Fan Fan.
Then one day, Cong Lin accidentally found in Fan Chuan's room the letters he'd written to another Fan Chuan before he died. Unable to contain his excitement and joy, he ran to Fan Chuan for confirmation. Holding the letters, he asked in a trembling voice, "Are you... really my Brother Fan Fan?"
Fan Chuan tapped his head as he always did and said, "You silly boy. Long time no see."
From the gong's perspective: After dying in an accident, Fan Chuan transmigrated into a cozy slice-of-life novel and had been living there for six years.
For those six years, he didn't have to keep up the fake appearance of a blood-related family bond, nor did he have to see his parents' disgusting faces. His life was quiet and peaceful. Still, there was one thing he could never stop thinking about: the silly little brother who used to follow him everywhere when they were teenagers.
Then one day, on a train heading back, someone suddenly called him Brother Fan Fan. Fan Chuan looked at the young man before him, whose features faintly resembled that silly boy, and felt his heart beat a little faster.
Later, Fan Chuan kindly took the homeless young man home. As they spent time together, the young man's little habits often reminded him of his silly little brother, though some of his actions were completely different.
Until one day, the young man held the letters he'd received from the silly boy before he died, hugged Fan Chuan in tears, and said, "You... you are my Brother Fan Fan."
There's an age gap of about six years, with the gong older. The gong and shou met in childhood and were separated for about six years.
The gong is a bar singer, and there may be a tiny bit of entertainment-industry content.
The shou is a student at first and graduates as an adult later. They confess their feelings after the shou comes of age.
It's a calm, everyday sort of story. I want to write something warm and cozy.
