Target Person (Tentative)

Expanded from a short story idea posted on WB. If my inspiration dries up, this story may change direction.

Fork and cake setting, with several original additions.

An occasionally sharp-witted young police officer, An Xing × an occasionally unhinged but rational professor, Xu You

Xu You's summary of fork behavior:

First, because they lose their sense of taste, they go to the hospital to see an ear, nose, and throat specialist or a neurologist.

Second, they develop object fetishes and like keeping things used by a cake, such as their cup, toothbrush, or towel.

Third, they show hostility toward a cake's relationships and try to isolate them, threatening or hurting anyone who gets close to the cake.

Fourth, they like to "bully" a cake, making them cry or bleed, then tasting their tears, sweat, and blood.

An Xing discovers that Xu You drinks from the cups An Xing has used, lives in the old house where An Xing grew up, and keeps An Xing's high school uniform in his suitcase.

Later, An Xing also learns that Xu You, the cultured top student from their school days, fought for him, shut himself away for him, hurt himself for him, and left for a faraway place because of him.

If this world's prejudice turns into an army of thousands and thousands to hurt Xu You,

then An Xing decides to become Xu You's army of thousands and thousands and fight against the world.
