Lu Bei is a thousand-year-old skeleton. Every day, he eats, sleeps, and runs a haunted house, occasionally playing one of its skeleton props to scare visitors.
One day, after doing sit-ups to scare some visitors, Lu Bei discovers that he has somehow entered an escape game.
In this perilous death trap, the slit-mouthed woman grins sinisterly, her mouth gaping wide as she calls out, "One little kid after another!"
A muscular man with eight-pack abs is so terrified he loses control of his bladder on the spot.
But Lu Bei excitedly hugs the slit-mouthed woman's enormous mouth, eyes shining. "Wow! What a great big mouth! Come be a prop for my haunted house!"
The muscular man: Is that any way to behave?
When a demon eye covered in curses rolls to the players' feet,
the battle-hardened players all flee in terror. "Back! Back! Back!"
But Lu Bei bends down and picks up the eyeball, gently wipes away the dust, then earnestly negotiates with it. "Your eyeball's really worn down, and it's lost its shine. Why don't you come home with me? I'll polish you up."
The demon eye: ???
And so, like a scavenger picking up junk, Lu Bei takes every terrifying NPC in the escape game home with him. The System can't take it anymore. It risks completely awakening the most terrifying being in the world, a being even the System can't fully control, in an attempt to eliminate Lu Bei.
However, just as Lu Bei enters the new instance the System designed for him, before he even gets the chance to start scavenging, that terrifying being comes running up to him. Then, like an affectionate puppy wagging its tail, it tries desperately to win him over. "Baby, do you need another prop for your haunted house? Why don't you take me home, too?"
Lu Bei's first reaction: Who are you?
Lu Bei's second reaction: Who's the baby?
Lu Bei's third reaction: No! You don't look scary at all!
The System and all the monsters: …
The terrifying being: …
A long, long time later, Lu Bei finally starts to regret saying that a certain someone wasn't scary.
At the time, he's running around the house, clutching his shirt with its buttons torn off. In a panicked voice, he cries, "Don't come near me! Aaaaaah!!!"
You're freaking the baby to death!
P.S.
1. A silly, straight-faced infinite-flow story. Lighthearted and brainless, so don't take it too seriously.
2. The gong is an extreme doting husband, with a bit of a perverted streak.
3. The shou is a skeleton, and the ghosts and monsters in the instances adore him. He's also not picky about what he eats, in every sense of the phrase.
4. I'll add more if I think of anything.
