I Heard You Used Me to Prove Your Heartlessness

The entire cultivation world knew that Su Qian loved Lin Jinxuan with all his heart. They also knew that Lin Jinxuan treated him as nothing more than a plaything to amuse himself with. Su Qian once did everything he could to save Lin Jinxuan's beloved junior fellow disciple, nearly sacrificing his life and soul in the process. All he got in return was a faint smile and the words, "A-Qian, you did very well." At that moment, Su Qian felt his heart clench, trembling with pain. He watched Lin Jinxuan speak gently to others, yet never even bother to glance at him as he lay sprawled on the ground, covered in wounds. On the night Lin Jinxuan agreed to marry him, Su Qian was overjoyed. He thought all his efforts had finally won him a trace of affection. Then, by chance, he overheard Lin Jinxuan talking to someone else: "He's just a furnace for dual cultivation." -- Those who attended that marriage ceremony would never forget it: Su Qian, dressed in white, drew his sword and struck Lin Jinxuan, who was wearing wedding robes, without a trace of mercy. His voice was cold, his expression distant. "Let this strike sever the karma between us. From now on, we have nothing more to do with each other." With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Lin Jinxuan alone, clutching his wound and coughing up blood as he fell at their wedding ceremony. * Lin Jinxuan thought Su Qian would never be able to leave him. Only later did he learn that Su Qian had simply been trapped in a tribulation of love and had used him to attain the Dao. His supposedly undying love had been nothing but a cruel trick of the Heavenly Dao. The once-proud prodigy was driven mad. His hair turned white overnight, and he nearly fell to the demonic path. When he saw Su Qian again, Lin Jinxuan cautiously stepped in front of him. His voice was humble and trembling, and despair and madness were impossible to hide from his eyes. "A-Qian, I know I was wrong. Please come back." Su Qian merely looked up at him coldly. "Fellow Daoist, have we met before?" "My thread of love has been severed. I'm afraid remembering you would do me no good." See the theme. Theme: Heaven and earth are not benevolent; they treat all things as straw dogs.
