Wang Ai is a lower-class female insect born into a poor family on a remote planet.

With nothing to his name, he nervously presented Raymonds with the rambling love letter he'd spent a whole month writing. His only wish was for Raymonds to let his gaze linger on him for one more second.

The lofty Third Imperial Prince, dazzling as the sun, moon, and stars, took the envelope from his hands. His golden eyelashes shimmered.

Wang Ai greedily drank in every inch of him he could see, not letting a single detail escape him.

Until...

Raymonds said, "Then let's be together."

The person he loved most gave him the answer he'd never dared imagine in his entire life, in the most casual of tones.

As the royal family's only male insect and the future first-in-line heir, Raymonds was the focus of the entire empire. Raised in the adoration of all, his life should have gone smoothly.

Unfortunately, something had gone wrong with his genes at birth. He couldn't properly receive sex hormones transmitted by females, and had no natural interest in them.

But no insect doesn't yearn for power, least of all someone raised in the royal family. How could he give up a position that was already his just because of the question of heirs?

Raymonds had ambition. Whether through a political marriage or some other means, he only needed to find a female insect to bear his heirs, and he could take the throne with full legitimacy.

But the pheromones on most female insects irritated him. By chance, he discovered that a clueless female insect who couldn't hide his crush on Raymonds had no scent at all.

He came from a remote planet, with no connections or money. He couldn't be easier to control.

He could take advantage of the insect's feelings. He'd lose nothing, and could even get a breakup settlement.

"Sob, does that mean two male insects really can't have a baby?" Wang Ai's dreams lay shattered, and he had to say goodbye forever to the child whose name he'd picked out as a little boy.

"Don't be sad." The perfect future emperor whispered sweet nothings into his ear.

"I'll carry the baby for you. If we keep trying, surely it'll work."

"That's not the kind of thing you can make happen just by trying!"

This isn't a traditional insectoid setting. It's inspired by real insects, with plenty of creative changes. Females aren't necessarily larger than males.
