[Detective Conan] After Becoming a Recruiter for the Black Organization

[I'm very sorry, but I've dropped this story and can no longer finish it.]

After graduating from college, I started working in the human resources department of a pharmaceutical company.

Two years later, my immediate supervisor died unexpectedly, and I got promoted.

On the day of my promotion, headquarters took me in for training. That's when I discovered that this shady company was even worse than I'd imagined.

I hadn't joined a pharmaceutical company. I'd joined a liquor company.

And my former supervisor hadn't died by accident. He'd recruited counterfeit liquor for the company, so Big Brother Gin sent him to meet the fake booze.

My work after the promotion was still in human resources, only now my clients were the company's current and reserve liquors. I also had to screen out suspicious interviewees and find time to show my face at the pharmaceutical company.

Me: ...

This job could get me killed!

I started work in earnest.

I was very lucky. Before long, I hit the high point of my career:

The first reserve bottle I interviewed later became Scotch.

The second reserve bottle was recommended by an insider and later became the Organization's Rye.

The third reserve bottle earned the codename Kir through sheer force of will.

The fourth reserve bottle specialized in gathering intelligence on my recommendation, and soon the boss gave him the liquor name Bourbon.

Even I earned the liquor name Sauternes after exceeding my performance targets.

Then one day, while out shopping with Rye's girlfriend, I saw Scotch meeting up with a bottle of counterfeit liquor I'd recently become suspicious of.

I was suffocating.

I could already picture my future: Big Brother Gin pointing a gun at my head and calling me an informant!
