Luring the Monk

Qiao Wangwang was the most beautiful courtesan in the Demon Realm, dazzling and enchanting, with countless admirers at her feet. But in an unexpected moment, she was afflicted with the Bonding Gu.

The Gu's other host was Suxiu, the God of War in the Ninth Heaven.

Rumor had it that Suxiu was cold and heartless, with no regard for worldly things.

If he found out that the Demon Realm had planted a Bonding Gu in him, the whole realm might be doomed on the spot.

Qiao Wangwang prepared herself thoroughly and endured every indignity as she made her way to the Ninth Heaven.

She had to remove the Bonding Gu from him without anyone noticing.

And the way to remove it was to get intimate with Suxiu.

But for all her careful calculations, she never expected Suxiu to be a Buddhist monk.

His features were cool and composed, and he wore a monk's robe.

Looking at his clear, aloof features and his otherworldly bearing, Qiao Wangwang's heart gave a little flutter. For a moment, she had no idea where to start.

·

At the Jade Emperor's command, Suxiu had taken up residence in the Ninth Heaven to slay demons and uphold the righteous path.

He knew why Qiao Wangwang had come as soon as she arrived.

At first, he watched coldly as she tried every trick in the book. But he prided himself on his Buddhist resolve and felt no desire.

Later, when her Gu flared up and she endured the pain of a thousand swords tearing at her, she could only tug shakily at his monk's robe. "I'm one of the people of this world, too. Save me."

Suxiu heard her sobbing and saw the blood on her bitten lips. His feathered lashes trembled violently.

Beneath his robe, his fists clenched tight, and the Buddhist chants on his lips grew ever more hurried.

Everyone thought Qiao Wangwang was testing the path with her own body, either to die or to attain Buddhahood.

No one expected Suxiu to be the one she turned into a demon.
