After the Breakup, I Became a Player

Blurb: In Xie Zheyu's eyes, Luo Fu was the most obedient girlfriend imaginable.

They had shared hardship in their youth, and she had never complained. Whenever she had something good, she would present it to him as if showing off a treasure.

When he was hospitalized for his stomach problems, Luo Fu stayed up all night to look after him and made him soup. Even after scalding her hand, she only said it didn't hurt, her eyes red with tears.

After he became famous, she went into retirement and was content to be the woman behind him. She never made a scene.

Even his manager said:

"Your girlfriend doesn't have a temper at all. She's practically a living bodhisattva."

So when Xie Zheyu signed on for a dating reality show and played along with his company's publicity campaign, facing online speculation that he wasn't single, he told Luo Fu without a moment's hesitation:

"Luo Luo, I need you to post a Weibo saying that we broke up a long time ago."

Luo Fu's eyes flickered. She swallowed the words she wanted to say, then smiled sweetly. "Sure."

When Xie Zheyu returned from filming, there was no trace of Luo Fu left in the house.

He frantically searched for her. His manager tried to reassure him: "She loves you so much. She'll definitely come back before long."

Meanwhile, Luo Fu used her enormous breakup settlement to put together an esports team full of sweet, puppy-like guys, while gently singing a sleepless movie emperor to sleep. She was living the good life.

Later, after drinking, Xie Zheyu called Luo Fu, one hand pressed against his aching stomach:

[Luo Luo, my stomach hurts. I want some of your soup.]

A man's deliberately lowered, rich voice came from the other end of the phone:

[She's asleep.]

1. There is a crematorium-style redemption arc, but he absolutely won't win her back. Xie Zheyu is not the male lead.

2. Includes some esports content, but it's not professional. Don't overanalyze it.
