Ming Ge, the only beloved daughter of the Military Governor's household, relied on her father and brothers' affection to throw her weight around, abuse her power, and behave arrogantly and wantonly.
Only after she died suddenly while trying to abduct a man did she learn that she was the villainess in a Republican-era novel.
The good news: she was reborn.
The bad news: she was reborn as Ye Qiangwei, a singer at a dance hall, and had just been drugged and sent to Lu Jinzhi's bed.
Who was Lu Jinzhi? A descendant of a prince from the previous dynasty.
Though he was only a down-and-out aristocrat, with crippled legs and an eccentric temperament,
his handsome face still made him the object of every young woman's desire in the city.
Everyone except Ming Ge.
Because Lu Jinzhi's disability was her doing.
