[Western Crossover] Audrey, the Amazing Witch

[Abandoned. Read at your own risk]

One day, Audrey transmigrates and falls from the wizarding world's rich list, becoming one of Gotham's countless paupers. At least she can finally use magic, but she's so poor she can't even pay her house-elf's wages. She also accidentally discovers that the man of her foster family is living a double life. To make ends meet, she has no choice but to work for him.

When her boss puts on a disguise, she does too. When he gets hurt, she patches him up. When he comes back battered, she gets him back on his feet. She's on call around the clock, working diligently. After enduring this high-pressure job for a while, she finally snaps.

Audrey: Wild witches have rights too! I'm not going to spend my whole life working for someone else! So long, Batman!

After she successfully quits and prepares to put all that behind her and focus on school, wealthy employers start showing up at her door...

New York tycoon: "Hey, see that hole in the sky? Patch it up, and this apartment and car are yours."

One-Eyed Director: "Interested in playing a game? You know, the kind where you chop off one melon and two more grow back. Clear them all out, and this land is yours."

Bald Professor: "Just go rescue a few of my students... Money's no problem."

God Among Men: "Could you restore those collapsed buildings? Put it on my buddy's tab."

Lord of the Seven Seas: "Please take care of the garbage. Thanks. You can have all these treasures and this booze."

Audrey: "Aaaah! Don't come any closer! I'm just a witch who wants to live a quiet life among Muggles..."

But she can't help it. They offer way too much.

And so, in the end, Audrey makes it back onto the rich list.

Reader's Guide:

* Pairing undecided; we'll see where things go

* The heroine is a Squib who awakens her magical powers. It's a coming-of-age story with lots of original worldbuilding

* The timeline is a mess, with a British-American mashup and magic fused with technology

Theme: If you work hard enough, you can make your wishes come true
