Chen Ting was on a business trip to present a proposal. During some free time, a colleague dragged her to visit an old mansion in the area.
It was supposedly the residence of a top-scoring candidate from some dynasty long ago. It now stood empty. Though it had fallen into disrepair, traces of its former splendor remained.
As her colleague went on about the unknown former owner, Chen Ting quietly looked away from a corner and urged her, "Stop talking."
"Why?" her colleague asked, puzzled. "Is there some taboo about talking about this place?"
Chen Ting thought about it, unsure how to explain. "Because... it's not nice to say bad things about someone to their face?"
