Why Is the Real Deal Such a Hopeless Romantic?

Q: What should you do when you run into your first love, who has changed their name and identity?

A: Run. Turn around and run!

Q: What if your first love is a police officer and you're a member of an organization?

A: Still run! Hurry up and run!

Q: What if your first love is an undercover agent in the organization...

A: Beg to get back together! I'll give you intel if we get back together! Please don't kill me, QAQ!

Nobody expected Blue Orange to be a traitor. Born and raised in the organization, she still chose to topple the very place that had given her a foothold.

Chidou: The whole reason is

Because I'm a total hopeless romantic! (A clear-eyed assessment of herself)

Rei Furuya: ... (rubs his forehead)

Warning:

It may look lighthearted, but by my standards...

Run! Don't come in! (screams) There will be angst!

- Original title: Afterglow (I actually really like this title)

Pairing: Amuro Tooru. The female lead is a real liquor, but automatically watered down.

Happy ending, with the five members of the Police Academy class surviving.

I dug this out of a long-abandoned draft and gave it a major overhaul.

My old writing was truly at an elementary school level, and the setting was a complete mess, but the core idea is still what I want to write. So please wait until I've finished revising it before reading. Current progress: 0%.

A late-night impulse project for anyone craving sweet moments and angst.

Comments and check-ins are what motivate me to update. One comment earns one update (if I have time).

Theme: The end of being a hopeless romantic is, there is no end.
