I Reign Supreme Through the Imperial Exams with a System

“Ding! The Imperial Examination to Kingship System is at your service. With the System bound to you, unifying the world is no dream. Host, what are you waiting for?”

Song Hao looked at himself, all skin and bones in a house with bare walls, and gave a dry laugh.

“System, are you telling me to start a rebellion?”

“...No, I'm a legitimate System. You're actually a prince. You were just switched at birth.”

Song Hao raised an eyebrow. It seemed that the body he'd transmigrated into belonged to a fallen phoenix. But in ancient times, without DNA tests, what good was being the emperor's son? Who would believe him?

“Ding! Once the Host binds with the System, none of that will be a problem.”

Song Hao glanced at the already empty granary. “Will binding with the System get me food?”

“...Yes.” The System silently added that he'd need to exchange something for it.

“Fine, I'll bind.”

Song Hao stared at the empty System interface. “...Where's the food?”

“Ding! Learn to recognize ten characters and receive one jin of rice.”

Easy enough. But he searched the thatched hut from top to bottom and couldn't find a single piece of paper with writing on it. Song Hao...

Years later, looking at the prosperous empire he had built and the wife standing shoulder to shoulder with him, Song Hao couldn't help but sigh: Knowledge changes your fate. The ancients really weren't lying.
