I Struck It Rich with My Appraisal Golden Finger

[A Practice Piece, Proceed with Caution]

Little Jiang only wants to get rich. After she transmigrates, she unexpectedly gains a golden finger that lets her identify the material and quality of jade.

Her parents die unexpectedly, suppliers cause trouble and run off, and even the old hand at the shop leaves in a huff. The family business is on the brink of collapse.

Little Jiang sighs, rolls up her sleeves, and unleashes her secret weapon:

Behold my titanium-alloy dog eyes! (Not really.)

It doesn't matter if she knows nothing about jewelry. She can activate her treasure-appraising golden finger.

It doesn't matter if she has no connections. She can seize her ticket into high society.

It doesn't matter if she lacks materials. Her luck with treasures is unbeatable, and she can find bargains just lying around.

Everyone says she has an extraordinary eye. Little Jiang just smiles: it's great being able to coast to victory and find bargains with a golden finger.

At first, all she wants is to open her jewelry shop and fulfill her dream of getting rich. But later, with her treasure-appraising skills (and luck), she becomes an industry big shot, builds connections far and wide, and amasses a fortune that rivals a nation.

A saying circulates in the capital: Don't challenge Jiang Xueyi's treasure-appraising skills. She'll make you eat your words in minutes, and she's got powerful people backing her.

Heir to the Imperial General's Residence, Lu Zhe, the designated sidekick: Who's calling me in?

A cool-headed young shopkeeper who only wants to make money + X + a highly action-oriented, emotionally clueless man

One-on-one romance, happy ending

Bonus scene:

Little Jiang: You owe me a lot of money. When are you going to pay me back?

Lu Zhe: ...Could I repay you with myself?

Little Jiang: Money is money, and you're you.

Lu Zhe: I'll bring all my assets.

Little Jiang: Deal. A pleasure doing business with you!

Warnings:

The romance develops slowly at first. The focus is on building a business, and the romance comes later.

Lots of rambling, slow pacing.

A fun story about finding treasures and getting rich, not a pure money-making power fantasy.

The appraisal-related knowledge in the story may be exaggerated or fictional. Please don't treat it as real-world information. Sources for other references are listed in the relevant chapters.
