Song Yi'an lost her mother as a child and was raised in the Earl of Anyuan's household.

Cheng Lingwen realizes that the little shadow who used to trail after him has suddenly disappeared.

He waits patiently.

A month passes, then two... He can't find her, and he loses patience.

Just as he decides to return to the palace and mobilize his people for a massive search,

his nephew gets engaged to someone from the Earl of Anyuan's household and asks him to deliver gifts on behalf of the elders.

At a glance, he sees his little shadow surrounding his nephew, smiling and chatting, calling him “benefactor” over and over.
