The Empire found its lost little prince, who had been living in exile. Although the little prince was confused and couldn't remember a thing, the Empire still proudly announced his return to the Imperial Star as if he were a precious treasure.
Gu Youmin knew he had amnesia. He remembered his name, but everything else was a blank. Yet he still had a subconscious grasp of common sense. For instance, his family probably didn't have a throne for him to inherit. And then there was the strange voice that suddenly appeared in his head:
"Ding! Cannon Fodder Support System activated. Target One detected. Gain Target One's favor. Host, complete the task within three days."
Gu Youmin spent three days without managing to say, "Big Brother Crown Prince."
The Crown Prince of the Empire: ...
"Ding! Target Two detected. Gain Target Two's favor!"
Gu Youmin blinked and rejected his arranged marriage to Target Two.
The Empire's Marshal: ...
"Target Three detected. This time, you must gain Target Three's favor!!!"
Gu Youmin made a serpentine escape right in front of Target Three.
The Empire's Chief Minister: ...
The System was frantic. "You're a fake cannon fodder! Instead of winning over important characters, are you planning to lie flat and wait for the real little prince to come back and slap you in the face? I'm trying to save you, Host! Get a grip!"
The pretty-boy System had no way to punish him for failing his tasks, so Gu Youmin made a token effort, circling his targets a couple of times before heading to the Star Network. There, he operated a simulated mecha and became the strongest Beta heartthrob.
In some forgotten corner of the vast universe, the Zombie Emperor Cheng Yu searched everywhere for his missing "Empress," while keeping up with the times by becoming the leader of an interstellar pirate crew.
This is a follow-up to Zombie Emperor. The previous story is connected, but you can read this one without it. All you need to know is that it has zombies.
I can't write modern romance, so I'm not writing the companion story. I'll stick to the plot I like... It's set in space, with an ABO setting, but the leads aren't part of the ABO hierarchy. They're ordinary human sexes (roughly equivalent to Betas).
The couple is still Cheng Yu x Gu Youmin. No secondary couples. The protagonist is still a beloved-by-all type. You know the drill (.
