Baby Wukong Is Three and a Half [Journey to the West]

In Journey to the West, when the story mentions the Handsome Monkey King crossing his name out of the Book of Life and Death, it says, "...This was when the Great Sage Sun first attained the Way as a child. He stormed the underworld and had his name erased from the ledger..." It turns out that Sun Wukong was fated to live for 342 years and die a natural death. Yet in the eyes of the celestial lords and Buddhas of the Three Realms, that was still a short life cut off in childhood. So what if, instead of emerging from the stone already grown and able to grow even taller at a glance, he came out as a tiny, fluffy little monkey with a toddler's proportions? The Jade Emperor in heaven: "What demon dares send a beam of light into the Dipper Palace?" The celestial lords: "A baby spirit monkey has just been born, and he's crying!" Oh, then shouldn't we hurry and find someone to look after him!? On Mount Lingtai, the little monkey plays and laughs, transforming into all sorts of things and earning round after round of applause from his senior brothers. Patriarch Bodhi strokes his beard and chuckles. "He's still little. This is how you encourage a child!" In the underworld, toddler-sized Wukong sits cross-legged on a desk, his chubby little belly sticking out. With a puzzled look and a babyish voice, he says: "The Queen Mother of the West gave me peaches, and Great Immortal Zhenyuan gave me Ginseng Fruit. They said I could live for thousands upon thousands of years. So why did I die?" Ksitigarbha reaches out and taps the little round belly. "If I hadn't taken your soul, how else could I have met a spirit creature of the Three Realms, a darling of all the immortals?" Content warning: This story presents an alternate possibility for what happened after the Lingming Stone Monkey was born. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Great Sage Equal to Heaven's original journey, where he endured endless hardship and trials and battled the heavens and earth. This is the story of a baby monkey who is raised, taught, and supported after birth. Also, the note that the point of view is unclear means you can read it however you like! The author won't explain~ A little secret: the cover shows a fluffy little puppy. Just try to imagine it's a little monkey! This story is still set against the backdrop of Journey to the West and Investiture of the Gods, blended with other ancient Chinese myths and legends. Theme: Keep striving to grow, and a wonderful future will eventually come
