Against the Light

Everyone says Lin Huaiguang is the town's "mad dog," but in truth, he's a simple, honest, good-hearted man.

When they first met, Chen Zhu thought Lin Huaiguang seemed like an interesting guy and gave him a hand.

When they met again, an unrealistic idea began to take shape in his mind.

Chen Zhu learned all the tricks, but his feelings for Lin Huaiguang were real.

His teammates watched his smooth moves and cried, "We're full, stop feeding us."

"Why did you change my door lock?" Lin Huaiguang looked at the brand-new keys on the table, resentment building in his heart.

Chen Zhu said, "I was worried someone might break into your place. We each get a key. I'm afraid you'll lose yours."

The locksmith at the door looked at the old lock. "Kid, there's nothing wrong with this lock. It'll keep burglars out just fine."

"Shut up!" Chen Zhu snapped.

The locksmith: So... should I leave?

At the bar, Lin Huaiguang searched for Chen Zhu. It had already been ten days since he disappeared.

At last, he found him in a private room.

Chen Zhu lowered his head. The moment he saw Lin Huaiguang, a relieved smile appeared on his face. "You came."

All at once, feelings of betrayal and abandonment surged through Lin Huaiguang. Without a word, he went up and slapped Chen Zhu.

Even after getting hit, Chen Zhu wasn't angry. He stood up and advanced step by step. "It's only been a few days, and you were already getting impatient?"

Lin Huaiguang said nothing. He poured chilled liquor into a glass, then suddenly slammed it into Chen Zhu's face.

"Remember, you're the one who needs me now," Lin Huaiguang said coolly.

"Mm." Chen Zhu's lips curled into a smile. His hands, covered in scrapes and cuts, slowly settled on Lin Huaiguang's.
