[Pre-release: The Scum Alpha Is Coaxing His Wife Again [Transmigrate into a Book]. I'll write a few short pieces to practice, then get started.]
Feng Li, the unlucky empress in a nine-clan revenge story who was often targeted for assassination, finally died at the hands of yet another ruthless person determined to take revenge on their whole family by using that very method.
After her death, she returned to ten years earlier, not long after her accession to the throne. She had already earned a reputation as a tyrant, and many people had taken note of this trait. Driven to desperation, they resorted to such extreme measures to bring their families down with them.
The person she had loved most in her previous life had also suffered at the hands of the aristocratic clans. Feng Li decided to nip everything in the bud. She would keep her beloved, who had not yet become gravely ill, by her side and protect her.
But when she saw the young version of her "beloved" again, with a broken spirit and a body ravaged by illness after being tormented by her family, a bucket of cold water brought her back to her senses.
This wasn't the person she loved.
They had the same identity and appearance, but Feng Li could tell they didn't share the same soul.

An Tong was framed and killed. When she woke up, she discovered she had transmigrated into the body of an unlucky woman from an unknown dynasty who had been killed by her own family.
The original owner's dying wish was for everyone who had hurt her to pay. Looking at her own sick and wounded body, An Tong couldn't even lift a sword, let alone avenge the original owner.
She had planned to bide her time and send them all to hell, but then a message arrived from the palace: the An family was to send An Tong to serve the emperor.
The empress was cruel and unpredictable. Everyone knew An Tong wouldn't come back, but not one person pleaded on her behalf. They only argued heatedly over what benefits sending An Tong away might bring them.
An Tong suddenly had a bold idea.
She had heard that in ancient times, assassinating the emperor was a crime punishable by the extermination of nine generations of one's family.
She was already supposed to be dead. Why not use this life she'd been given to finish what the original owner had left undone?
