A heads-up:
A short story set in a fictional world, focused mainly on the plot. The writing is a little rough.
Yin Sheli picked up a little ghost named Wanqisi. After graduating from the college entrance exams, the little ghost had been so excited that she drank too much and could barely walk. She stumbled onto the main road, got hit by a car, and was thrown into the Yangtze River, where she died. Yin Sheli took pity on her and hired her as an assistant.
An old prince’s mansion like a mechanical labyrinth, a strange Peach Blossom Inn in the Western Regions, an emperor’s shrine with three enormous coffins inside. Interwoven, enigmatic fates; history reflected in the present. The whole story unfolds before her.
In short, it’s about the everyday life of Yin Sheli, an underworld inspector, and the little ghost Wanqisi she picked up as they wander the human world. (Actually, they’re at work.)
Note: The content related to Daoism in this story is based on my grandfather and some books about folk traditions.
I’m new to writing, so it’s bound to be immature. Feel free to come and go as you please, and please share your thoughts.
