- A short story, partly rustic literary fiction (pay attention to this), not a traditional CEO romance (if that's not your thing, don't read)
- Liu Hong's story contains upsetting elements, so skip it if you need to
Wang Ke is an ordinary wage earner. One day, a beautiful young female boss surnamed You shows up at the construction site.
And it seems Boss You is interested in her? She visits the site every other day, finding all sorts of ways to invite her to dinner and bring her gifts.
Wang Ke thinks she'll lose interest in three days, but unexpectedly, the boss helps her everywhere, even helping her coworkers.
Even the hardest heart should be moved by now, but Wang Ke refuses. Deep down, she believes they're from different classes, different worlds. The path Wang Ke has to take is one of constant struggle to change her life. She thinks Boss You, who grew up in comfort with everything she could want, isn't someone who belongs on the same path as her.
No matter what Boss You gives her, Wang Ke has just one thing to say: "Boss You, we're friends."
Until one night, Wang Ke calls Boss You. "Boss You, where are you? I think I kind of miss you."
A new writer, so the prose may be rough. Feel free to come and go, and comments are welcome.
