After Seven Years of Marriage, He Wants a Divorce

Zhu Huimu is an award-winning actor, and there are more paparazzi following him every day than anyone can count. What the vast online public cares about most is his love life.

Everyone knows that the entertainment company run by Chen Suqi dominates the industry, with every kind of resource at its disposal. He pursued Zhu Huimu because of his surname, and married him for the same reason: "Your surname is rare. I want to marry you." Those were President Chen's exact words.

Can a marriage based on a surname really last?

So one day, every news outlet and trending topic went wild.

# Chen Suqi is finally divorcing Zhu Huimu #

Meanwhile, Chen Suqi stared at the divorce agreement on the table, his handsome face showing the first hint of a crack.

He moved his lips, and after a long pause, finally managed to say, "Take this ridiculous thing back. I can pretend nothing..."

"I'm divorcing you," Zhu Huimu cut him off.

Chen Suqi leapt to his feet in a rage. "If you dare divorce me, I'll break your legs!"

Zhu Huimu stretched one leg out onto the coffee table, his mind made up. "Go ahead and break it. Then I can move out."

Chen Suqi's face turned livid and his whole body trembled. He couldn't understand why his lovely wife insisted on a divorce. Since he couldn't force him to stay, he began frantically putting out press releases.

# Zhu Huimu is pregnant and in a bad mood. That's understandable #

Zhu Huimu: "?"

Netizens: ...

# Zhu Huimu doesn't want me or our child anymore. How can you still laugh? #

Zhu Huimu: "??"

Netizens: ...?

# Zhu Huimu is pregnant with our second child. Don't let him divorce me #

Zhu Huimu: I didn't even know I could have children!

Netizens: Nobody in the whole country knew men could have children. Are they showing off their love or getting divorced? This is absolutely ridiculous!

One night, Chen Suqi touched Zhu Huimu's slightly rounded belly. "Still want a divorce?"

Thinking of all the children Chen Suqi had given him, Zhu Huimu felt sore all over. "...I won't divorce you. Sob."

Reader's Guide:

* One-on-one, happy ending, sweet romance

* Same-sex marriage is legal

* Not based on real people. Please don't assume otherwise. (Who'd want to use that obscure group as a model? Anyone who does will only make them more obscure.)

* I wanted to write something to help cheer myself up

* The cover is a meme. Its source was too widely shared to trace, so I'll remove it if there's a copyright issue. (Finally found the cat's source. Thanks to the wonderful reader "Lin Nansheng's Girlfriend" for letting me know the cat is called Jiyou. The cat's owner gave permission to use it as the cover on July 14, 2021.)
